What is Virginia MLS Data Sharing?
It is where MLS systems share their data so your home can be seen all over most of Virginia. This benefits sellers and buyers and Virginia Realtors. If a property is close to a border of 2 different MLS systems, now they can both see the listing which makes it easier to serve clients with ease across city and county boundaries with the larger service area.
This also saves our Flat Fee Clients money. Instead of placing your home in two different MLS sytems, you can just put it into one if it has a data share with the other MLS that is of interest to you.
For Example, If your home is in Charlottesville Virginia, you can put your home in the Charlottesviille MLS or the Bright MLS as all the agent that belong to either of those MLS's will see your listing.
