Why didn't I hear back after doing a test inquiry on Zillow? When I select "Call Agent", it is displaying a number that I am not familiar with. I thought it would link to my number or my listing agent's #?
If you do a test on Zillow, etc to reach me, the listing agent, there is no guarantee that I will get that lead. Zillow and many other websites have agents that pay them for leads, which is how zillow makes their money, so they can send your inquiry to any agent they want. It is very rare the listing agent gets the lead.
3rd Party website owners decide who the contact information will be. It will either be us or it could either be someone else. Re/Max, Redfin and other major players will put their agents contact information if the listing is on their website.
We do not have ANY control over ZILLOW OR ANY 3rd Party Website.
If you MLS Listing proof is accurate that we sent to you when we activated your listing - send it to zillow or whomever and get them to fix your listing.
Their site is often wrong.
Rest assured that emails, calls and texts we receive in behalf of your property will be forwarded to you.
Why don't I see my listing on Zillow?
If you are in the REIN MLS: REIN recently decided they will not allow their listings to post on public sites for 5 days. You can see the public view of your home only at
https://www.rein.com/ until they release it to the other sites. This was explained in the activation email we sent to you to proof your listing.
What Happened to your FSBO Listing on Zillow after You Listed in the MLS?
If you have had your home on ZILLOW prior to listing with us- please understand that the MLS listing will over ride your listing. Zillow goes by the address and will not allow you to have 2 listings on their site.
Errors on Zillow or Redfin or any other website that feeds from the MLS.
If the information is accurate in the MLS (check the proof that we sent to you when we activated your listing) - then you need to contact that particular site to get them to correct it.
All the info comes directly from the MLS so if it is not correct on their site - then they have a glitch they need to fix.
Just send them the proof we sent you with the activation email so they can see it is correct in the MLS.
Zillow is having major issues with updating proper info and updating pictures.
We cannot help you edit or trouble shoot any issues with Zillow if you claim the listing.
If your listing is not correct on Zillow, here is how to contact their customer support. care@zillowgroup.com; listingsupport@zillow.com
Can I Claim My Listing?
If you claim your Zillow listing as a FSBO- the changes you make to the MLS will not reflect on Zillow- You must manually go into your account with Zillow and edit it yourself.
Here is a link that explains how to claim and unclaimed your listing on ZILLOW.

There are two types of people who will see your listing. An agent and the public.
Only agents have direct access to the MLS which provides your contact info and instructions to deal direct with the owner. Agents see the showing contact information you provided us. You should have seen this in the proof we sent you the day the listing became active in the MLS. Agents don't look in Zillow for listings since the MLS has all that info.
The public does not have direct access to the MLS. They will see your property through one of the virtually thousands of websites that PULL data from the MLS. The MLS restricts sellers and showing contact information to be displayed in this 3rd party sites for security reason.
Please remember that the MLS is designed for agents providing full service to sellers. FSBOs account for a very small fraction of listings in the MLS so their policy is for the majority.
The MLS never feeds your number to the websites - only realtor's #'s since the MLS is set up for Realtor's to make money.
Realtors never go to public websites like Zillow or Trulia or Realtor.com since we have access to all the info in the MLS. Those sites are strictly for buyers.
